Rimini Sintonie Fair 2023:
An overview of the event and Marco
Manunta's impressions from M2TECH.
The Rimini Sintonie Fair 2023 has just concluded, where we had the opportunity to have Marco Manunta, an engineer from M2TECH, an Italian Hi-Fi electronics company, as our guest. We gathered his impressions on this event.
Interviewer: Stefano Cosi
Welcome, Marco!
Marco Manunta (M2TECH):
Thank you, Stefano, it's a pleasure to be here to share my impressions of the Rimini Sintonie Fair.
S: Marco, you mentioned that the fair was interesting
in some ways. Can you share with us what
struck you the most about this edition?
M: Certainly, Stefano. It's undeniable that individual Italian audio fairs are struggling to match the success of past editions. Years ago, the Top Audio fair in Milan dominated the scene, but now there are many more fairs spread across the country. However, the Rimini Sintonie Fair proved to make sense. It was organized extremely professionally, although there are some small things to improve for future editions.
S: You mentioned some shortcomings.
What would you suggest improving for the future?
M: Yes, we noticed some shortcomings, but it should be noted that the exhibition space was very nice, with spacious rooms. Finally, there was enough space for all exhibitors, which made the event feel less crowded. This was a positive point compared to the past when visitors were often crammed into small hotel rooms or narrow corridors. However, to further improve, some adjustments could be considered to optimize the overall visitor experience.
S: It's interesting to note that the audience seems
to be mainly composed of enthusiasts.
Do you think there is room to engage a broader audience?
M: Absolutely, Stefano.
The predominant audience has always been composed of enthusiasts,
but we also saw some families and curious individuals, especially on Sunday.
This type of audience may be less inclined to make
immediate purchases but represents an important foundation to build upon.
Educating and engaging these curious individuals
is crucial to create a new generation of audio enthusiasts.
S: You mentioned the setups presented by M2TECH in the DML AUDIO Room.
Can you give us an overview of the exhibited products and their features?
M: Certainly, Stefano.
In our booth, we showcased a system consisting of the Phono Nash preamplifier, the TOSH line preamplifier, the Crosby monophonic power amplifiers, and the young mk4 DAC. These products are aimed at a discerning clientele, and despite their compact size, they offer remarkable technical and sonic quality.
The system was complemented with ANTINOISE cables, a Nottingham turntable, and System Audio LEGEND 40.2 speakers. The feedback from the audience was very positive, with a transparent and natural sound that comes close to the live experience.
S: Thank you very much, Marco, for sharing this information
about the Rimini Sintonie Fair 2023 and your booth.
It seems to have been an interesting and opportunity-rich experience.
M: Thank you, Stefano. It was a pleasure to share our impressions, and we hope that the Hi-Fi audio industry continues to thrive and engage more and more enthusiasts.
